...But I do enjoy seeing how people put together their rides sometimes, and I sortof
get where they are coming from with the freedom and lack of ties they experience when living that life.
HOWEVER
...the builds are the most interesting part to me, especially when they are small and cleverly done like

I would need a full size van with raised roof to allow for standing, but I think it would be very feasible. I did the RV life for a few years, without a glitch. Don’t like your neighbors, move. Too hot in the valley, move to the mountains. Want to live by the lake, beach or in the desert? Just drive there and set up.

While I can definitely understand the appeal, my biggest beef with #vanlyfe is that you can’t really bring more cars with you. You’ve basically got your van and that’s it. Towing a trailer around would probably be too much hassle and increased gas costs for the marginal benefit of having an extra ride... It’d have to be one unbelievably epic van to get me to consider giving up the T-bird, and even then I probably wouldn’t do it. I guess I’m just a house person.

This is great. I spend a lot of time watching many different camper builds on Youtube, and they use
mostly more or less the same tricks when it comes to storage and packaging. But this one is a bit more refined, I love the ropes, how the pop-up kitchen extension hides the spice rack, etc. And it all has a cohesive identity around the van, which I always appreciate.
His music is good, too!

I am a house person as well, but I enjoy the individuality and clever engineering some people come up with! Plus, there can be some really cool ‘vans’ - like this imported
Magirus-Deutz I spotted here earlier this year! (I was from Austria or Germany, but they were planning on staying in Nova Scotia for so long that they went and got Nova Scotia plates for it!)

I
t is, I listened to some of his tunes! Seems like a nice and talented guy!
Yup, he had a few little details that I thought were pretty cool....the ‘campfire’ tealight idea was a neat little personal touch, and I’ve never seen those touch-to-activate LEDs before....I’ve seen touch stuff sure, but not those. The cohesive fabric choice throughout was cool....you could tell it was well thought out rather than thrown together, like some builds!
